Pennsylvania Drilling Co is Hiring a Geotechnical Driller Near Pittsburgh, PA

Geotechnical Driller

Pennsylvania Drilling Company is accepting resumes for a Geotechnical Driller to join our drilling crews. Penndrill provides drilling services for geotechnical, environmental, and construction projects. Our work is open bid contracts for the Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Turnpike, and for various privately-owned projects. The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of geotechnical drilling principles and practices and have the ability to make real-time decisions when drilling issues are encountered.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compose required Driller’s Logs
  • Comply with a weekly/daily Tailgate Safety Plan, as provided by the Geotechnical Drilling Division Manager / Project Manager
  • Complete daily and weekly job reports
  • Perform the maintenance of drill rigs and equipment
  • Maintenance/organization of vehicle tracking paperwork and/or digital files

Relationships and Authority

  • Reports to Geotechnical Drilling Project Manager
  • Uses appropriate public relations when dealing with co-workers, clients, observers, and the public

Classification

  • Full-time commitment of at least 40 hours per week with non-exempt status
  • Two (2) years of experience as a geotechnical driller
  • Sufficient knowledge of geotechnical drilling techniques to be responsible for an entire project
  • Be available for drilling projects that require both in-state and out-of-state travel, overtime, and overnight visits
  • Maintain a valid Class B or Class A CDL
  • Adhere to USDOT drug and alcohol requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
