Overview

We are excited to be hiring a Summer Accounting Intern for our Property Support Center located in Philadelphia, PA This position is responsible for providing administrative and project support to all functional areas of the Accounting and Finance Department, including the day to day accounting for all assigned properties. Works closely with Property Controller and property management.

Responsibilities

• Completes monthly and quarterly reporting packages• Sends out miscellaneous reports as needed by banks and mortgage companies• Reconciles all accounts receivable monthly• Reviews cash disbursement report and payment requirements with Property Controller• Submits Replacement Reserve Reimbursement requests upon approval• Collaborates with Property Managers regarding accounting issues, tenant accounts, and vendor payments• Updates schedules weekly, including weekly cash balance• Coordinates administrative function for assigned Departmental projects• Provides support to accounts receivable, accounts payable, property accounting, and human resources andresources• Maintains strict adherence to invoice approval policy. Position does not have authority to purchase anygoods or services

Qualifications

• Full-time enrollment in a Bachelors Degree program at an accredited college or university• Accounting, Finance or Business-related major• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above• Junior or Senior standing only• Prior internship experience preferred
