We proudly serve the Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice fresh fruit and vegetable industry and are seeking a skilled Customer Success Representative to join our team!
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator/Quality Assurance Coordinator enables the organization to execute operational work plans effectively through timely and accurate reporting and management of information. The role is primarily responsible for purchases and management of inventories of non-perishable goods, as well as maintaining records for the operations department, including repacking and consolidation. When it comes to materials, the position holder understands what is needed, by whom, and when, and makes purchases based on a planned schedule considering current lead-times and production estimates.
The position functions as an effective link between operations and stakeholders in and out of the organization, including team members (across offices and departments), growers, material vendors, and service suppliers. The successful candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
General
  • Develop an understanding of the US warehousing operations, the key players, and the scope of work by facility.
  • Become familiar with the current season’s projections by grower, and their packaging needs.
  • Purchase non-perishable supplies, including but not limited to carton, labels, mesh, bags, and clamshells.
    • Create and enter purchase orders in Famous
    • Coordinate between accounting, vendors, and the receivers on orders, deliveries, and claims.
  • Filing, researching discrepancies, and troubleshooting orders.
  • Daily communication and coordination with third party suppliers on orders.
  • Communication with logistics suppliers / Sales group on pickup and delivery schedule.
  • Manage daily packaging inventories by location, and support efforts to automate inventory tracking in Famous.
  • Provide repack coordination and administrative support, including entering repack charges and materials, tracking materials to/from repack, and coordinating between the warehouse, repack, and accounting.
  • Familiarize self with fee schedules for the repack providers to ensure repack costs are accurately reflected in a timely fashion.
  • Create product IDs in Famous following existing structure as new packaging supplies are developed / purchased.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with vendors of warehouse supplies, packaging, and service providers.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with peers, copackers, and direct grower suppliers.
  • Cross train and support with the management of Sobey’s warehouse consolidation, including iTrade, consolidation reporting, and weekly billing.
  • Support with the development of work processes and standard operating procedures relating to warehouse and repack operations, purchases, and inventory control.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a coordinating role with demonstrated, progressive responsibility.
    • Experience working in the produce industry preferred.

    • Skilled at using various technology, including Windows or IOS-based PCs, tablets and phones.

    • Must be able to work in the U.S.
    • Able and willing to work on half days on Saturdays
    • This position requires that you be able to work with a computer while sitting or standing, sometimes for extended periods.
    • Able to lift up to 15 lbs.
