Pennine Security Solutions is looking for a Site Lead to manage a team of 8 guards in a dynamic, fast paced, residential Community Complex.

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.50

Schedule: Flexible schedule desired.

Responsibilities:

• You will manage a schedule of 8 guards 24/7 days per week
• Assist with filling and organizing the schedule
• Make sure all shifts are filled with minimum overtime
• Ensure all patrols are performed around the complex
• Ensure all reports are correctly submitted by the team.
• Bring cohesiveness to the site and the staff positioned there.
• Liaise with Pennine management and the property management at the site.
• Maintain good communication both written and oral.
• Ensure Gatehouse duties are completed as needed.
• Conduct inspections of staff (Quality Control), which include, but not limited to uniforms, hygiene, reports, patrols, customer service etc.
• Administer counseling or disciplinary actions that have been initiated by office management. Supervisors may or may not initiate such decisions on his/her own, but may execute such actions at the specific direction of office management
• Ensure staff compliance with organization site post orders and company regulations.
• Ensure that all administrational documents and training information is being properly maintained and updated.
• Check site software on a regular basis to be familiar with incidents and issues that have been reported by the staff. Bring to managements attention any severe problems or occurrences that need to be known.
• Distribute uniforms, equipment and information to sites as directed by management, which may include communicating such information to Security Guards at sites or obtaining signed acknowledgements or other documents to management.
• Train new employees as needed and help coordinate and hold training sessions as needed
• Conduct proactive security patrols of the property observing for suspicious or criminal behavior. This includes foot patrol and vehicle based patrols. (In the event of an Emergency).
• Reporting any deficiencies or suspicious behavior noted on site to management, or emergency responders as required.
• Ensure security duties are carried out in compliance with all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
• May be required to participate in internal investigations and/or evidence collection.

Must have:

• A valid "D" security license issued by the Dept of Agriculture
• The ability to walk long periods of time if needed.
• Not shy of confrontation but knows how to deescalate issues
• Some management of people experience
• Some security supervisory skills
• Great written skills
• A pleasant demeanour
• The ability to stay calm under pressure
• Flexibility with personal schedule
• A prior knowledge of residential security and what it means to be a residential security guard.
