Penn Township is seeking applications for a full-time
Public Works Laborer
This individual shall work a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday 7 : 00am -3 : 30pm with the ability to work overtime (before and after normal shift, weekends, and holidays) as well as be available for 24 / 7 emergency call outs due to, but not limited to, winter weather events and other reasons as determined by management.
This position is responsible for performing routine manual laboring work using manual and small power operated tools and motorized equipment and performing winter maintenance duties, such as snow removal from roads and Township facilities.
The well-qualified candidate must have a driver’s license, preferably a Class B CDL commercial, and be familiar with the basic operations of mowers, chain saws, brush chippers, weed trimmers, saws, compressors, paint machines, and other heavy equipment.
Applicants must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds, climb up and down ladders, and work in various weather conditions. The Penn Township Public Works employees are represented by AFSCME District Council 89, AFL-CIO.
