The EMS Energy Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences invites applications for a part-time research assistant/associate during Spring 2022.

Job Duties

• Working on a project funded by the industry to study the hydrometallurgy experiments to recover the rare earths, and other critical minerals from secondary resources.
• The candidate must perform acid digestion, ICP analysis, and XRF analysis on clay, fly ash, and mine tailing samples.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education requirements vary depending on the job duties.
• This opening would also require conducting XRD and SEM EDX analysis. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed training on this equipment.
