SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This job is responsible for maintaining sterilization equipment and surgical instruments, issuing packing and sterilization of supplies, instrument trays and inventory service to surgery and patient care units.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Individuals must provide evidence of one of the following:
Holds and maintains either the Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential.
Previously employed or contracted for services as a central service technician by the hiring Penn State Health (PSH) healthcare facility on or before December 29, 2020, or had been employed to practice as a central service technician as the primary function at another healthcare facility at any time prior to December 29, 2020
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or Sterile Processing Technician preferred.

When arriving, please park in Visitor parking and enter the main entrance of the hospital. Our team will be in the lobby area to meet you and get you signed in. You will then be taken to the specific department you are interested in for an interview.
