SUMMARY OF POSITION :

This position will support the General Surgery service line in the hospital setting for 1st assist in OR, floor and ER consult, admission/discharges, rounding bedside procedures, respond to Trauma alerts as support, and on call coverage. Will also support other surgery services in 1st assist in OR. This position is supervised by attending surgeons and this position will assess patient and collaborate with attending on decisions regarding plan of care. This position is essential to the support of inpatient care, providing 24/7 timely attention to patient needs and communication with attending surgeons.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support
