SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Responsible to provide assistance in hemodialysis therapy for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, and to provide technical support for equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent medical background (i.e. EMT, CNA) required.

Three (3) months job related experience required.

Must obtain Hemodialysis Technician certification under a State certification program or a national commercially available certification program within 18 months of employment as a hemodialysis technician, according to the certification requirements of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services End Stage Renal Disease Conditions for Coverage.

Basic Life Support certification required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Hemodialysis experience preferred.
