SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The RN Inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient's conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
• BLS required prior to orientation completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

6 Orthopedics is a fast paced 23 bed orthopedic and trauma unit. We serve elective orthopedic (spine, ankle and joint replacement surgeries) and trauma patients (such as rib, spine, facial, pelvic and extremity fractures). We can care for complex patients and have remote telemetry monitoring capabilities. We are recognized for our teamwork and we work closely with the physicians. As a team member on 6 orthopedics continued growth and education are encouraged and staff participate on unit and hospital committees.

Pay: $34.60 - $47.58 per hour
