Anesthesiology

Full Time- Day Shift

At the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Perlman Center for Advanced Medicine, the Anesthesia Tech Supervisor is responsible for following all duties as assigned by the department Manager and/or Director. The Anesthesia Tech Supervisor has direct supervision of all activities of the Anesthesia Techs and Operations techs on all shifts. The Supervisor assists in the management of staff, including the screening of applicants, completion performance evaluations in a timely manner, participating in the performance management of staff, and is responsible for Human Resource compliance, including payroll, leave of absence, worker's compensation and consistent application of hospital policies and required continued education. Additionally the Supervisor will assist in developing staff training programs, lead staff in services and meetings, and assist in overseeing the management of related supplies and equipment, as well other duties assigned by the Manager or Director of the Department.

•Reports to Operations Manager. •Interfaces with the Anesthesia director of Perioperative Services •Responsible for picking supply gathering, equipment and instrumentation for Anesthesia. •Displays adequate communication skills with PeriOp staff, management and others. •Modifies behavior or work schedule when necessary to achieve department goals. •Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures •Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization •Provides assigned direction and support relating to perioperative anesthesia providers, replenishment of anesthesia supplies and Anesthesia Technician duties. • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

H.S. Diploma/GED, required. 5 years Prior experience as an anesthesia tech at a large teaching hospital, required. 2 years' Experience as a lead or supervisor, required. CPR, required. Certified Anesthesia Technician, preferred.
