Penmac Staffing is currently looking to hire a Maintenance assistant for one of our warehouses located in the Spartanburg area.
This would be first shift, and temp to hire . Pay rate starting at $19 during the probationary period. Summary / Objective The Maintenance Assistant is critical in maintaining the operational efficiency of the distribution warehouse and responsible for the upkeep of the facility grounds.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in optimal, safe, and clean working condition. Essential Functions
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including A-Frame, PIT equipment, and pallet jacks. This includes office support for doors, restrooms, and conference room setup.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems within the warehouse.
- Respond timely to maintenance requests and resolve issues, including power outages, equipment malfunctions, and other urgent issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Support the setup and reorganization of warehouse spaces, shelving and storage systems. This includes project setup and support for assigned task(s).
- Assist in managing the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked.
- Support in warehouse grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal and landscaping tasks as needed.
- Perform general custodial duties, such as cleaning floors, restrooms, and break areas, as well as waste management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
