This position is seeking a lead OB/Gyn sonographer to provide quality patient care and coordination of the sonography department within the practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Explains procedures to patient, once inside the ultrasound room, to inform them, reduce anxiety, and obtain consent and cooperation for exam.
• Performs ultrasounds on both OB and gynecological patients.
• Uses independent judgment during the ultrasound exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings.
• Responsible for coordination of sonographer schedules.
• Ordering of all ultrasound related supplies.
• Reviewing with physicians ultrasound reports.
• Maintaining standards necessary for practice re-certification and completing the re-certification process when it is required.
• Following ultrasound policy and protocols, along with development of any necessary policy and protocols.
• Coordinate coverage between two office locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Bachelor's Degree with Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Certification in Sonography from an accredited program
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecologic scans.
• Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and technology
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images for diagnostic evaluation
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $41.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
