SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm
JOB FUNCTION: Provide transportation services for the PEMHS consumer population (mental health) while assuring for the safety of the consumer at all times, make mail runs, make food runs and provide courier services as required by the Agency. Duties also include maintaining the Agency vehicles, filling out required paperwork (mileage form, safety form, etc.). Maintain daily transportation coordination and transportation schedule sheet. Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual files pertaining to the transportation department as required by FDOT, MPO, JCAHO, DCF, DJJ and related Agency rules, policy and procedure. Supervise the scheduling of vehicles based upon program need. Provides Agency driver training classes in conjunction with the Training Coordinator’s schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in a Social Science field or a high school diploma and two (2) years experience in a psychiatric setting. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license with an insurable motor vehicle record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive for prolonged times. Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Ability to bend, stretch, lower and raise self from floor independently. Ability to hear and see in emergency situations. Must be able to pass NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) training and perform NAPPI techniques.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to all program conditions which may include physical intervention and verbal abuse by consumers.
