Peloton is Hiring a Manager, Quality Assurance Near New York City, NY
Peloton is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager within our Strength Software Engineering team. In this role, you will directly take responsibility for the quality assurance of Strength Software and work closely with Software Developers and Product Management, and help cultivate a quality mindset.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Act as the first point of contact for issue triage, RCA and follow-up for Strength Software issues
- Mentor the team to find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
- Create black/grey-box test plans and test cases
- Manually test software and firmware releases for new and existing Peloton products
- Track and drive fixes for top field issues with engineering and customer support teams
- Find more opportunities for consolidating and automating Peloton’s software testing methodology
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 5 years of experience in managing a Software Quality Assurance or a similar team
- Ability to work in NY headquarters 3 days a week.
- Experience working with Android
- Experience with manual testing, and ability to be hands on.
- Good problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to mentor and grow a team of talented Quality Assurance engineers
- Ability to classify and sort through large amounts of data to find relevant correlation
- Understand technical issues and drive them to closure working closely with engineering
- Ability to work across the entire device stack (OS, firmware, services, apps, api, etc.)
- Proven track record for driving and closing cross-functional projects

- Hands-on experience in testing Android-based devices
- Project management and organizational skills
- Experience with Peloton products
- Experience working with Git/Gerrit
- Experience with test automation on the full device stack
- Experience working with offshore teams
