We currently have an opening for an Assembler-Injection Molding (3rd shift) in our South Deerfield, MA location.

SUMMARY

Perform a variety of repetitive operations to assemble and/or finish various types and sizes of plastic items and containers under direct supervision.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work from verbal and/or written instruction. May occasionally work from blueprint and/or assembly drawing. Use hand tools, power tools and powered assembly tools such as semi-automatic assembly fixtures, band saw, table saw, riveting machine, pneumatic tools, drill press and foam saws.
  • Perform changeover of assembly fixtures, replenish/replace stock at assembly station.
  • Attach necessary hardware and parts as per specifications and perform gluing, taping, flame treating and labeling operations. Check parts for visual defects.
  • Operate a variety of machines to perform finishing operations on various plastic and/or metal parts.
  • Perform repair and paint operations on foam inserts. Fill voids, prepare surface, mask and spray and/or hand paint. Maintain and clean painting equipment.
  • Maintain established quality and quantity standards. Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Maintain daily production and other records as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

  • Have understanding and ability to follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to operate machine controls.
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interacts effectively & cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to complete assignments within set timeframe.
  • Ability to work overtime (evenings/ weekends), with or without advanced notice.
