Pelican Athletic Club is currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Housekeeping Supervisor to maintain an overall clean appearance of the entire facility in order to provide each member with a clean and pleasant experience on every visit.

This position supports the Director of Environmental Services and the housekeeping department in a supervisory capacity, and will assist the Director of Environmental Services with the daily operations of the department as needed and required on the weekends and some additional weekdays as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver and promote excellent customer service to PAC members as well as co-workers at all times.
• Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holiday hours.
• Be aware of facility cleanliness at all times and address needs and issues immediately.
• Perform specific housekeeping duties as assigned, including special cleaning projects that may occur early mornings or late evenings.
• Follow instructions precisely when using chemicals and supplies.
• Always be flexible and assist co-workers when needed.
• Must be physically capable to perform assigned tasks.
• Report anything unsafe or hazardous to the Director of Environmental Services or MOD (Manager on Duty) promptly.
• Assist, supervise and inspect all cleaning areas of the facility and grounds, make note and address all discrepancies immediately as required.
• Supervise all housekeeping staff in collaboration with the Director of Environmental Services to ensure all shifts are covered and assigned tasks are completed.
• Train, coach, and educate new employees in collaboration with Director of Environmental Services during regular shifts, and also during absence of the Director of Environmental Services.
• Visually inspect the housekeeping equipment to ensure proper use and care, report any discrepancies to the Director of Environmental Services.
• Act as supervisory of the housekeeping staff during the absence of Director of Environmental Services. This includes directing staff, quality and cleanliness control, solve scheduling conflicts, and act as to go to person should problems arise.
• Assist in managing lost and found items as needed; valuable items should be picked up immediately and given to the MOD or the Front Desk.
• Ability and willingness to work side by side with housekeeping staff at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate – College Preferred
• Previous custodial / housekeeping supervisory experience required
• Knowledge of essential commercial housekeeping practices, hazards, safety rules and regulations required.
• Excellent attention to cleaning and housekeeping detail
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills
• Supervisory experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs daily
• Team player and always willing to help members and co-workers
• Maintain CPR Certification

***Important: Shifts range anywhere from 4.45am to 10pm depending on the need of the business.***

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
