Title:

Layout Inspector

Job Summary:

Perform product layout inspections and inspection tasks throughout the manufacturing process to help ensure product meets quality standards. Perform other testing of manufactured parts or products as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively embodies Pelco Structural’s core values in everything you say and do
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Perform layout and dimensional checks on all small parts.
• Perform layout and dimensional checks on all shafts.
• Suggest methods for improving product quality or design, or manufacturing processes
• Records results of all testing procedures and maintains proper documentation and reports
• Investigate product quality problems and recommend changes or improvements
• Stay familiar with applicable codes and inspection methods
• Provide regular and punctual work attendance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Must be very familiar with reading blueprints and ensure compliance between these and the manufactured product. Must have a current visual acuity examination. Two to five years prior quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pole industry.
