Our Quality Department is growing! The Updating 3 candidate is (Monday - Friday 9am-530pm) needed in our state-of-the-art environmentally controlled very clean facility in South Bend, IN. The Updating 3 is responsible for closing out all work orders as well as maintaining good quality flow of product between final packaging inspection, order pulling and shipping while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Advanced understanding of Updating principles.

TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)

• Ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders.
• Basic knowledge in ASW computer skills
• Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 Overview.
• Basic understanding of FIFO (First In – First Out) practices
• Knowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability as it pertains to Updating
• Achieve effective level in primary position as defined in Skills Matrix
• Assists in training new employees in core skills of primary position.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Processing and closing of work orders
• Sorting of Pick Suggestions—transits and pick and ships
• Pulling work orders from transit shelves and matching with Pick Suggestions
• Ensure that Work Instructions are being followed and all processes are being met
• Capable of performing an inventory of transit shelves
• Read, understand, and complete all Department documentation and work instructions
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.

• Demonstrates the ability after achieving effectiveness in primary position to become fully capable of accurately processing and closing work orders.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
• Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8 hours of the day.
• Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours.
• Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
• Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
