Exceptional Opportunity for an experienced Pediatric Intensivist to lead a great team in West Tennessee!

Responsibilities

Work at a large community hospital in West Tennessee, as an integral part of the hospital’s Pediatric team. In addition to clinical care, direct a multidisciplinary team that works in a friendly, family-oriented environment to improve patient outcomes.

The Program Medical Director will have both clinical and administrative responsibilities and oversee a team of experienced pediatric hospitalists and intensivists.

Overview:

• 12 bed Pediatric unit
• PICU average daily census 2-3; Peds average daily census of 4-5, and around 400 admissions annually
• In-house daily coverage with rotating at home call
• Subspecialists include Peds Intensivist, Neurology, Cardiology, GI, Ortho, ENT, Pulmonology and peds surgery.

West Tennessee has many thriving, livable cities with loads of activities and affordable living. Memphis and its surrounding communities have a significantly lower cost of living compared to the rest of the region, with affordable housing and good schools. The region is home to many corporate headquarters, such as Fed Ex, Autozone and International Paper Co, and has a newly renovated international airport.

Most know that Memphis is famous for its blues music on Beale Street, Graceland, and the shores of the Mississippi. But many are not aware that this part of Tennessee is also renowned for its stellar weather (with more sunny days each year than Miami), great dining, art galleries, and an electric nightlife.

The city and its suburbs are home to numerous parks and walkways, including one of the largest urban parks in the country, as well as both major and minor sports teams like the NBA’s Grizzlies. The 9 area universities, including University of Memphis and Rhodes College, offer exceptional educational opportunities as well as sporting and entertainment options for the community.

Compensation Range: $320,000 - $360,000 per year based on years of experience

Additional Medical Director Stipend annually
