Pediatrics Unlimited is Hiring a Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Scheduler Near Spartanburg, SC

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office or medical office. Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient care
- Process insurance claims and verify coverage for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in electronic health record systems
- Assist with billing and financial transactions, including collecting payments from patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office, medical office, or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative support functions and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to accurately transcribe medical information
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
