What you will do:

The Registered Behavior Technician Development Coordinator will implement onboarding, training, and development of BT/RBT team members. They will support the psychosocial and developmental needs of children through the scheduling and implementation of ABA services directly and indirectly. They will be responsible for the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and events.

  • Organizes and assists with onboarding of BT/RBT as directed by the ABA Team Leader and/or Therapy Director.
  • Collaborates with BCBA, Coordinator, and Therapy Director to develop training schedule for onboarding new staff.
  • Meets with new team member on day one for orientation, tour of building, and introduction to team members.
  • Responsible for training new team members during the onboarding period.
  • Provides any additional training to team members as directed by the BCBA or Therapy Director.
  • May assist with competency assessments as assistant assessor when requested by supervising BCBA.
  • Assists and coaches new team members on writing daily treatment session notes.
  • Assists with and may complete BT/RBT interviews as needed.
  • Completes RBT treatment following the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) under the supervision of the BCBA and in alignment to policies and procedures of Pediatrics Plus and regulations of the BACB.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and events to meet the individual needs of each child, daily, weekly, monthly and including major holidays throughout the year.
  • Responsible for delegating tasks during project times for RBTs as well as chore charts for children which may include laundry and other household chores.
  • Maintains inventory of all toys, completes orders, and organizes all necessary supplies, toys, and materials as approved by the therapy director and updates as needed.
  • Leads and supervises volunteers and staff to ensure a safe and developmentally appropriate environment to provide effective and enjoyable experiences for children and their families.
  • Updates posted information and scheduling of activities and events to ensure timeliness in communication and planning.
  • Collaborates and participates in scheduled meetings with the therapy director and farm technician to discuss event and activity planning, along with other specific duties and assignments.
  • Responsible for answering phones, greeting families, and other front office duties based on the specific needs of the site.
  • Assists with ABA schedule in absence of administrative coordinator and/or when directed by the therapy director.
  • Assists with group activities and helps supervise children during activities.
  • Ensures daily completion of end of day task list.
  • Actively leads in culture and team building events.
  • Ensures confidentiality of children and employee information.
  • Participates in annual performance reviews for professional development and growth.
  • Participates in one-on-one meetings with leader.
  • Provides feedback to administration regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the ABA program.
  • Assists and supports leadership during company initiatives.

  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
  • 2 years of experience working with children and their families preferred.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Annual Requirements:

  • Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBA
  • Complete annual renewal through BACB
  • Receive ongoing supervision and comply with BACB’s ethics requirements

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
