Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for medical services. If you have a strong understanding of medical coding, terminology, and billing procedures, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes - Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with the medical office team to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices - Stay updated on industry changes, regulations, and best practices related to medical billing Experience: - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), and billing procedures - Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance claim submission requirements - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical billing software - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing practices - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your expertise in medical billing while working in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment, we invite you to apply for the position of Medical Biller.
