Pediatric Care Four Corners is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Davenport, FL

Seeking upbeat, positive and experienced medical receptionist with Pediatrics or Family Medicine experience.

The Receptionist duties include:

-Greets patients, check-in/check-out patients

-Expertise in verifying insurance eligibility via web portals or directly contacting payers via phone

-Scheduling appointments across multiple provider schedules

-Basic billing knowledge: collecting copays/deductibles/outstanding balances, being able to deduce/read EOBs and effective communication to the guarantor, basic arithmetic skills in computing self-pay rates

-Abides by HIPAA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information.

-Answers multiple phone lines, takes messages, returns calls and must have excellent phone etiquette.

-Keeps the office clean and presentable, doing spot cleaning throughout the day and thorough cleaning at the end of each business day.

-Must be personable with a professional demeanor and able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients.

-Must be proficient with technology with fast typing skills and ability to learn medical and insurance billing. Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision the majority of the time.

The job requirements are as follows:

-Experience in Pediatrics or Family Medicine is preferred

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-Proficient skills in EHR technology (experience with AthenaHealth EHR is a plus)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

-Strong administrative skills with experience in a medical office setting

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

-High school diploma/GED

-Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
