Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You will work closely with a team of professionals to implement behavior management strategies and promote the development of essential life skills. Responsibilities: - Implement behavior management plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) - Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with ASD - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans - Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior - Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure consistent implementation of therapy goals - Support individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) as needed - Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred - Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable - Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles is preferred - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Proficient in using technology for data collection and analysis Skills: - Patient care: Providing compassionate care and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder. - Care plans: Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. - Medical records: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical documentation. - Behavior management: Implementing behavior management plans developed by BCBAs. - Working with people with autism: Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum. - ADLs: Supporting individuals with activities of daily living as needed. - Behavioral therapy: Applying behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behavior change. - Analyzing data: Collecting and analyzing data on client progress and behavior. - Medical documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical documentation.
