The Cock 'N Bull is the flagship of Peddler's Village! We are in search of an experienced Banquet Manager to join our leadership team.

This position will report to the General Manager and be primarily responsible for managing Banquets and assist as needed in the a la carte dining room.

The Banquet Manager is responsible for hiring, training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all banquet events, ensuring that we consistently provide exceptional hospitality and exceed our guests expectations, ensuring a successful function and repeat business.

Essential Duties Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establish and enforce specific goals and standards for Banquet functions.
  • Recruit, train, coach and support Banquet team for success.
  • Schedule Banquet team members based upon business needs.
  • Manage setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet functions as specified by contracts and established company standards
  • Conduct pre-event meeting, reviewing event details and assigning duties to the team
  • Serve as liaison between FOH Banquet team and BOH leadership
  • Create and deliver feedback and performance reviews of Banquet team members
  • Ensure the maintenance of proper care and cleanliness of serving equipment
  • Create and reinforce all appearance and service standards and procedures
  • Read and interpret Sales and Catering contracts for set-up, service, and billing
  • Work closely with General Manager in meeting and / or exceeding monthly budgetary goals as it relates to expenses and cost percentages to include labor.
  • Accurately complete payroll processes on a daily, weekly, and bi-weekly basis. This includes calculating and submitting gratuities.
  • Direct and manage the set-up of all equipment and supplies required for each function
  • Possess basic knowledge for operation of all A.V. equipment
  • Manage and maintain banquet Inventory log of all equipment including linens needed for banquet functions. Monitors all items and keeps them at appropriate PAR levels.
  • Create and manage post-meeting recaps with Banquet team and applicable departments
  • Periodically review and update the banquet training manual as needed
  • Complete and adjust billing for groups
  • Monitor cleanliness of décor, banquet rooms, and storage areas
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled BEO meetings.
  • Provide support as needed in the restaurant.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years of progressive Banquet management experience.
  • Micros, 7 Shifts and ADP experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends & holidays
  • Able to work at varied locations on property : CNB proper, outdoor spaces on PV grounds, or any PV owned property
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and guest service skills
  • Exceptional organization and leadership skills
