Peczuh Printing (pronounced “PZ”) is looking for a polished and professional CDL Driver to join our team! This important position will be responsible for safely transporting product between PZ facilities and customers as needed. This person will be relied upon to determine the best and safest delivery routes to take while also assisting with loading and unloading merchandise as required. A commercial drivers license is required and will allow driver to operate a vehicle with a gross combination weight rating of over 26,000 lbs.

The Environment Looks Like:

This job operates in both outdoor and indoor work environments and can expose the employee to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside. The employee regularly drives and works in an enclosed truck. There will sometimes be sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. The employee may at times be exposed to contaminants, such as fuel or exhaust. This is a full-time position, expected to work up to 40 hours per week. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4:30 pm, depending on shift assignment. Employees in this position must be comfortable driving large vehicles and will be required to submit to regular drug and alcohol screenings.

Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Are:

• Load delivery vehicles with product scheduled for delivery
• Take ownership of product delivery, ensuring correct addresses, routes and safety are considered in each and every delivery
• Deliver merchandise timely and safely in a courteous and helpful manner to customers, including assisting in unloading as needed
• Compile necessary paperwork and reports in a timely and accurate fashion, including number of deliveries made
• Communicate with necessary supervisors/managers delays or issues regarding deliveries
• Monitor truck mileage and general safety inspection, letting supervisors/managers know when a vehicle requires repair or maintenance
• Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned during any down time between deliveries

This Position Requires:

• Class B CDL
• Maintaining a safe and clean driving record
• Ability and willingness to use to transportation navigation tools suck as smartphone apps or GPS
• Excellent judgement skills in terms of traffic, weather, etc. when determining most direct and safe routes to take in order to deliver product safely and in a timely manner
• Courteous and professional demeanor at all times
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to load and unload packages with and without hand trucks in varied weather conditions
• Ability to frequently lift, bend, kneel, crouch and stretch without limitation
