Job Summary:

Pallet Repair technicians are responsible for sorting and repairing of returned pallets. The technician must learn and memorize the PECO pallet specification and ensure that all pallets leaving his worktable meet the specification. Pallets that do not meet the specification must be repaired.

Essential Duties:

• Sort pallets by lifting them onto worktable and inspecting them from top, bottom, and each side.
• Replace any defective components on the pallet using supplied tools. These tools include Pneumatic nailers, reciprocating saws, and angle grinders.
• Restock lumber and keep workstation clean and organized throughout the day.
• Memorize pallet specifications and ensure all pallets processed meet that specification.
• Clean or report any contamination or potential food safety issues for customers.
• Other duties as assigned
• Learn, understand, and adhere to all PECO safety policies and procedures for the depot as well as for your role.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Ability to memorize and apply PECO pallet specification to pallets
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
• Strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move 65lb pallets repeatedly
• Standing for long periods
• Full range of motion required for reaching, bending, and lifting

• Work is performed in a fast-paced production environment.
• Pay is based on an incentive plan for both production and quality.
• Work is labor intensive and requires repetitive lifting.
