Job Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of resort guests to and from the golf courses, hotels and other various local destinations. Assist guests with storage, loading, unloading and safe handling of luggage and golf clubs. Must have polished manners and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lift safely and give clear directions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Transport guests to and from Spanish Bay, The Lodge, Casa Palmero and Beach Club properties.
• Transport guests to local destinations, including the Monterey Peninsula Airport and local restaurants.
• Assist guests with storage, loading, unloading and safe handling of luggage and golf clubs.
• Greet guests with a sincere smile and using the proper salutation.
• Use guest names and recognize return guests, whenever possible.
• Answer questions and provide information on daily functions taking place throughout the resort.
• Inspect company vehicles for cleaning, maintenance and safety issues.
• Report any such deficiencies to your working supervisor.
• Assist manager on duty in an emergency, such as directing guests to evacuation areas.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible shift.
• Valid California driver's license and current DMV report required.

Desired Skills:

• Second language helpful.
• Some hotel or resort experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for long periods of time. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive hand use and foot controls use.
