Heavy Equipment Operators -Earthwork

Heavy Equipment Operators will have experience operating equipment such as scrapers, excavators, blades, compactors, skid steers, and dozers in all commercial and heavy highway earthwork applications.

General responsibilities:

· Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance.

· Schedule proper maintenance for all equipment with superintendent and shop management.

· Continually survey work sites for potential hazards or safety concerns.

· Operate all equipment efficiently and safely following directions of foreman/superintendent.

· Perform a variety of tasks and duties that may change often as the work conditions require.

· Work within defined standards of accuracy.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Must have experience in heavy structures.

· Must be able to pick up and manage moving large pipes.

· Must be able to unload semi-trucks using the proper operating equipment.

· Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, manage and manipulate objects.

· Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.

· Excellent communication skills to work effectively and safely.

· Ability to work overtime, as required.
