The Veterinary Assistant is vital in all aspects of our work in general dentistry – from client communication to patient care. You will work closely with our dedicated staff to provide best in class medical care to our patients.

What You'll Do:

• Keep surgical tables/areas clean and prepped for procedures
• Aid clinical team with post-op patient recovery
• Document surgical notes per doctor's or LVT's orders (e.g. dental charting)
• Maintain surgical instruments
• Support clinical team during patient consultations
• Assist with inventory management
• Fill/dispense medications per doctor's orders
• Maintain clinical areas

What We'd Like:

• LVT preferred. If license eligible, experience with anesthesia, dentistry, and dental x-rays required
• 1-2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant
• Confident in Fear Free handling and restraint techniques
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as colleagues
• The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
• Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
• The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
• A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
• An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
• A commitment to the welfare of animals
