Pearl Buck Center- Non profit is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Eugene, OR

1. POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Technician will perform a wide range of duties and will be responsible for operating the plastic parts die-press and in a typical day will have a mix of building maintenance and janitorial duties. The person in this position will provide task support to the Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Director. This position is 30 hours per week but may lead to a full-time 40 hours per week position.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Perform manufacturing tasks including operating a plastic parts die-press
 Data entry into agency maintenance system.
 Monitor and assist with routine building maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, hanging shelves, moving furniture, painting touch ups.
 Perform general janitorial duties including, but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, dry mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, restroom cleaning and general floor care procedures.
 Monitor and assist with fleet management
 Monitor and assist with external building/landscaping tasks including, but not limited to: cleaning debris from surrounding building, removing spider webs, light shrub trimming
 Maintain and exceed quality standards
 Assume responsibility for all tools and equipment

3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Operate manual/electric pallet jack as needed
 Ensure workflow and/or procedures are kept up-to-date for owned tasks
 Maintain all safety protocols and techniques within the workplace
 Maintain an accurate daily record on timesheet of hours worked
 Acts responsive and engaged with developing a positive work environment which includes providing honest, respectful and direct feedback to other staff, participating in team meetings, team development, personal training plans, respecting diversity and differences among staff, clients and stakeholders.
 Completes other duties as assigned

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Ability to work independently
 Good time management skills
 Dependable transportation; valid Oregon driver's license with driving record sufficient to qualify to drive agency vehicles
 Ability to pass an Oregon Department of Human Services background check
 Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred but not required

5. PHYSICAL DEMAND:
 The physical effort typically applied in this job may include: Pushing, Pulling, Lifting (50 lbs.), Carrying, Reaching, Bending, Keying/Typing, Standing, Walking, Speaking and Repetition. Much of this will depend on the specific demands of the task.

6. MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND:
 Continuous mental and visual focus is required while working in the Production environment

7. WORKING CONDITIONS:
 Work conditions will typically be indoors in a climate controlled environment
 Outdoor work may be required with exposure to weather conditions
 Work conditions may at times include exposure to dust or cleaning chemicals
 Appropriate personal protective equipment will be supplied if needed

8. ATTENDANCE:
 This position requires availability based on business need.
 Your supervisor must be advised regarding use of PTO, planned or unplanned absence
 It is imperative that attendance protocols are adhered to and that Department Call-In Policies are maintained at all times
 Co-workers depend on you being on the job and on time

9. SAFETY:
 There is never a good reason to risk your own personal safety or that of a co-worker, client or business partner.
 Being pro-active to prevent injuries or incidents is an expectation
 All injuries or incidents, no matter how small, must be reported

10. FSLA:
 The position of Facilities Technician is a non-exempt position
 Non-Exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay

11. EEO CLASSIFICATION:
 The position of Production Technician is considered a Category (3) Technicians

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.60 - $16.28 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
