Your Impact

Pearce Services has an immediate need for a Permit Specialist with telecommunications experience and experience with the Clark County permitting process. The Permit Specialist obtains all necessary encroachment and construction permits for various telecom and utility projects. The Permit Specialist will work with various clients, clients’ engineering vendors, and internal teams to ensure the timely submittal and acquisition of permits. The Permit Specialist will work with all required local, state, and federal jurisdictions to resolve conflicts and track multiple, concurrent permit submittals. Must have experience working with telecom engineering and construction management to get the permits completed and delivered on time.

Core Responsibilities

  • Will serve as a point of contact for the community and/or government agencies.
  • Oversee and complete Zoning and Permit applications for submission to jurisdictions, coordinating the zoning process with outside counsel and vendors.
  • Provide site acquisition expertise in certain projects (a plus).
  • Must be able to read and interpret surveys and construction drawings.
  • Update site status reports/databases, and site close-out packages, and attend client meetings or deployment calls as required.
  • Research, understand and interpret jurisdictional requirements for permit application submissions and serve as a functional advisor on the client and/or Project calls.
  • Understand and evaluate real estate ownership types such as City-owned ROW, Department of Transportation or State ROW, Private ROW of Utility Owned Easements, Non-exclusive Easements, Public Utility Easements, and Parcels to recommend viable locations.
  • Understand and evaluate environmental and regulatory requirements to complete required Client forms and/or submittals for NEPA, FCC, FAA, or other rules.
  • Know traffic control permitting requirements, sight triangles, and clear zones.
  • Prepare and present at zoning approval, neighborhood association, and other public meetings when needed.
  • Coordinate and complete payment methods to accompany additional permit applications.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Preferred location: Clark County/ Las Vegas, Nevada

Core Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications, right of way management, and/or related real estate or legal work
  • Minimum 1-2 years of computer skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Excel, MS Outlook, Microsoft Word, Google Earth, and other database or tracking tools
  • Familiar with the process of acquiring encroachment, excavation, and traffic control permits
  • Knowledge of Real Estate fundamentals required (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Site Acquisition (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Fiber permitting (preferred)
  • Knowledge of renewable energy permitting (preferred)
  • Ability to travel as needed to lead the team and grow business (10% - 20%)

Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000/DOE
