About the Role
We are seeking energetic, motivated, and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our team. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in implementing individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will work alongside a team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping children with autism.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA
Use positive reinforcement to increase desired behaviors and reduce problem behaviors
Employ a variety of ABA teaching methods, such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic environmental teaching (NET), and pivotal response training (PRT)
Collect data on client progress, including the frequency of desired behaviors and the duration of problem behaviors
Report data back to the BCBA and discuss any concerns or questions
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to teach them how to implement ABA therapy strategies at home
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Uphold a professional and ethical demeanor in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues
Keep children motivated and engaged throughout sessions
Accurately record daily data and complete comprehensive clinical notes
Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, teachers, parents, and educators
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience as an RBT or any related experience
Current Registered Behavioral Technician certification with the BACB
Experience working with children and/or managing challenging behaviors in children with developmental disabilities (preferred)
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written)
Availability in the morning, mid-day, or afternoon
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and auto insurance for driving to and from clients
Access to a working cell phone
Additional Information
All Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) employed at Peak Therapy Center are required to undergo a Level 2 background check and fingerprinting through the Volunteer and Employee Criminal History System (VECHS).
