Job Description :

Supports the Production area by delivering all necessary production materials for machining and packing parts using a forklift or tugger.

Adheres strictly to internal systems for production inventory control while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the Warehouse.

Essential Functions :

• Adheres to all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, including Safety Rules and Regulations, and the Quality Manual.
• Completes the internal forklift certification program and conducts pre-shift inspections of the forklift, documenting findings.
• Supplies component parts and empty totes to the Production line using a tugger.
• Delivers raw materials, work-in-progress, racks, and pallets to the Production line via forklift, excluding KP Final Driver.
• Transports finished goods and work-in-process to the warehouse, excluding KP finished goods racks.
• Moves surplus totes, racks, and packaging to the external warehouse.
• Retrieves and replaces miscellaneous boxes on warehouse flow racks.
• Handles materials properly to prevent accidents or damage.
• Practices FIFO (First In, First Out) of materials consistently.
• Follows the Kanban System for each department.
• Reports any irregular situations or low inventory levels within their scope of knowledge to the Production Group Leader.
• Empties scrap bins.
• Assists with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) for the Dock and Warehouse.

Skills / Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred : 2 years of previous forklift experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent safety record.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Maneuverability around the Plant.
• Frequent mounting and dismounting of forklift or other material handling equipment, repetitive bending, squatting, lifting both arms above the head, and moving head straight up and down and side to side.
• Strong hand strength, finger dexterity, ability to grasp small and large objects repeatedly, and rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders.
• Good eyesight and hearing;ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
