Peak Neurology ad Sleep Medicie, LLC is Hiring a Sleep technician Near Anchorage, AK

Overview :

Nocturnal polysomnographer position for a registered sleep technician looking to help us provide excellent clinical care to our patients.

Applicant must maintain a high level of professionalism within a fast-paced neurology and sleep clinic. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality, clinical experience working as a registered sleep technician and interest in working closely with providers and administrative staff.

Our goal is to make patients feel comfortable and valued while they are in our clinic as we help to address medical concerns with an emphasis on long term management of chronic conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties :

Testing : Sets up patients for EEG, PSG, MSLT, MWT, and HSAT. Produces and accurately scores artifact free records on the fly .

Documents patient histories and medications. Requisite skills : Diagnostic evaluations, PAP interface fittings and desensitization, oxygen and PAP titrations (including ASV and AVAPS).

  • Equipment : Calibrates, cleans, and troubleshoots equipment with safe operating techniques.
  • Education : Educates other departments, patients, physicians, and employees about services provided.
  • Documentation and Reports : Scores accurately while recording and clearly documents decision-making processes.
  • Technical Standards : Performs neurodiagnostic testing according to national standards and guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Background check required

  • Licensure and Certifications : Current registration as a PSG Technologist by BRPT (RPSGT) or by AASM (RST).
  • CPR / Basic Life Support must be current.
  • Ability to transfer patients using mechanical lift if necessary.
  • Annual flu vaccine required.
