**Job Title: Assistant Team Coach (Competitive Teams)**

**Location:** Peak Elite Gymnastics Academy, Corvallis, OR

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Team Coach to join our coaching staff and work under the guidance of our Department Head Coaches. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in coaching our competitive teams, helping to develop and refine the skills of our athletes while providing guidance and support both in and out of the gym. While not mandatory, attendance at select competitions during the season may be requested.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist the Department Head Coaches in planning and executing training sessions for our competitive teams, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and performance enhancement.

- Provide hands-on coaching and spotting during practice sessions, ensuring the safety and proper skill progression of our athletes.

- Support the Department Head Coaches in preparing athletes for competitions, including routine choreography, mental preparation, and competition strategy.

- Foster a positive and supportive team environment, promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, and mutual respect among athletes and coaches.

- Collaborate with other coaching staff members to ensure consistency in coaching methods, training techniques, and program development.

- Attend select competitions during the season to provide coaching support and encouragement to our athletes (attendance may vary based on availability and scheduling).

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience coaching competitive gymnastics preferred, with a strong understanding of gymnastics fundamentals and competition requirements.

- USA Gymnastics Professional Membership and Safety Certification required.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively connect with athletes, parents, and staff.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.

- Enthusiastic and passionate about gymnastics, with a desire to inspire and empower young athletes to achieve their goals.

- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, particularly during competition season.
