As an Unlicensed Medication Aide at our facility, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their activities of daily living tasks including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring ect.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE :

  • Ensure the well-being and protection of every resident through the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Promote and support a positive work environment focused on team building and collaboration.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff.
  • Assist residents by providing snacks and supplements, encouraging water intake, and assisting with feeding as trained and as needed.
  • Answer pendant system / call lights promptly to determine and assist with residents' needs.
  • Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
  • Coordinates with nursing staff to assist with resident care and medications.
  • Document the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, and activity and dietary services.
  • Communicates changing health conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns / responses to the nursing leadership team.
  • Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to resident's safety and comfort consistent with Peaceful Pines Senior Living Policies and Procedures as well as state / federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection-control techniques.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Licensed in the state of South Dakota as an UMA.
  • Free on-the-job training provided if you are not currently licensed but looking to grow!
  • Dependability and a contagiously positive attitude.

  • A passion for working with seniors and / or caring for others.

COMPENSATION :

  • Full or part-time positions available

  • Resident Care Aides $14.00-$15.00 / hour depending on experience
  • Paid CNA and UMA Training, pay ranges $15.00-$18.00 / hour depending on experience with certificates
