Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients
Experience:
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with direct support and senior care principles is beneficial
- Experience in dementia care is highly desired
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
