Peabody Retirement Community is looking for a Hospital Liaison / Marketing Director who will boost the facility’s census and introduce the facility to new business opportunity. they are responsible for assisting the resident(s) and/or resident representatives in selecting our facility for continuing health care services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Market the facility to the area hospitals
Create and maintain referral sources
Coordinates resident / patient referral and approval process.
Conducts tours of facility with potential residents / patients and their family members.
Tracks pre-admission referral activity daily / weekly.
Assures contracts are completed on a timely basis.
Ensures specialized equipment is ordered as indicated (reviews contract content for need to obtain prior approval from authorized payer).
Ensures level of care approval obtained as indicated (PASSAR, HENS) is completed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources. Conduct facility tours. Manages the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information. Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely and with appropriate follow-up. Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.
Develop and maintain relationships to advise referral sources of bed availability and new products and services, and efficiently meet the daily needs of the community at large. Promote the facility and its services to referring agencies. Maintain the current database of existing and potential referral sources.
Alert appropriate department supervisors and building staff of projected changes, i.e. admissions, bed changes, and discharges, by chairing daily admission meeting to discuss forthcoming changes. Utilize bed management principles.
Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing and the Business Office Manager to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions. Recommend admission decisions to facility management. When admissions determinations are made, communicate with nursing and housekeeping about appropriate room and bed selection.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
