Peabody Essex Museum is seeking a temporary, part-time Sales Associate for our Museum Shops. The temporary Sales Associates will work 19 hours per week from April to early November.

This role is ideal for individuals with impeccable customer service skills and the ability to engage with the public in a Museum Shop sales environment. We are seeking confident individuals who have strong interpersonal skills and can interact with our visitors in a professional and positive way. An interest in art and culture and a sense of fashion and personal style are helpful to the success in this role.

General duties include point-of-sale checkout procedures, inventory replenishment, maintaining visual displays, direct sales, cash handling and other duties as needed.

Experience in the retail or service industry is a plus. Must be available for weekend and weekday shifts and able to stand for extended periods, the ability to lift 30 lbs. is also required.
