Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to our furry clients. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with animals and make a positive impact on their well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trims

- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the grooming process

- Handle animals with care and compassion, using proper animal restraint techniques

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and preferences

- Educate pet owners on proper grooming techniques and recommend appropriate products for at-home care

- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions and report any abnormalities to the owner or veterinarian

- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as pet sitting or dog training

Skills:

- Animal restraint: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures

- Heavy lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying pets of various sizes and weights

- Dog handling: Experience working with dogs of different breeds and temperaments

- Equine: Knowledge or experience in grooming horses (preferred but not required)

- Pet sitting: Familiarity with pet care routines, including feeding, exercise, and medication administration

- Veterinary: Basic understanding of animal health and common medical conditions

- Animal care: Knowledge of general animal care practices, including hygiene and nutrition

- Pet grooming: Proficient in various grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling

- Dog training: Understanding of basic dog training principles to assist with behavioral issues during grooming sessions

- Customer service: Excellent communication skills to provide exceptional service to pet owners

Note: This is a paid position. This is a commission based job. The more you groom the more you get paid. The schedule is very flexbile.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
