Pay Rate : 32.19 per hour
Position Summary :
The QC Inspector I, working in a team-oriented environment, will perform a variety of quality control tasks in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data.
Key Responsibilities :
Inspection : Perform inspection duties using engineering drawings, orders, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures, and other related documents.
Verification : Conduct preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structures and systems, verify functional operations, perform final inspections, inspect for FOD, and verify paperwork.
Witness, verify, and document specified manufacturing process steps.
Conformity : Perform conformity / first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA approved procedures.
Equipment Management : Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment.
Safety : Conduct work in a manner that enhances health and safety, product safety, and risk reduction; participate openly in safety-related event investigations, and immediately report workplace hazards and make suggestions for control.
Technical Support : Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Compliance : Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
Continuous Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Additional Functions :
Support : Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education : High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience :
1 year of quality inspection experience or
2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required or
2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.
Training : Other Formal Inspection Training Program 90 Days required.
Skills :
Working knowledge of shop mathematics.
Proficiency with CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation.
Competence in using basic shop tools and equipment.

Pay Details : 32.19 per hour
