As an industry leader in aerospace, our Vision and Sensor Systems Electrical Engineering division specializes in all electrical engineering tasks pertaining to the design, analysis, testing, and certification of aerospace Head-Up Displays, Helmet Mounted Displays, and Avionics Vision Systems across both commercial and military applications.
Position Overview: At PDS Tech we are driving the hiring process for an experienced Electrical Avionics Engineer to join a noteworthy team in Wilsonville, OR. This role primarily focuses on digital hardware design, implementation, and testing of complex circuit cards featuring high-speed data links for avionics applications.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Design high-reliability electronic circuits for both commercial and military avionics.
Define and document requirements for new hardware designs using enterprise tools such as Jama.
Conduct preliminary design activities including hardware architecture and design trade-studies.
Perform detailed design tasks such as circuit analysis and schematic generation.
Provide technical oversight and coordination for circuit card layout.
Conduct functional testing and integration of circuit card prototypes.
Design and construct integration support equipment.
Support electrical qualification testing.
Assist in manufacturing processes during early unit builds.
Supervise and mentor less experienced electrical designers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field with 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Person / Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition Design and Layout software.
Digital board design experience involving multi-gigabit serial links.
