PDI Technologies is Hiring a Remote Customer Network Engineer I

Location: US Remote, Franklin, TN preferred Employee Level: Individual Contributor Career Level: Mid-Level What You Need:

Hands-on experience trouble shooting, configuring, and managing networking devices.
Experience directly supporting customers.
Applicant must be self-motivated and should not require significant guidance or leadership.
Experience working in an IT support environment using an ITSM/ ITIL based ticketing system.
Knowledge of IT security best practices.
Knowledge of network management and troubleshooting utilities.
Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance or other industry standard compliance efforts.
Applicant is expected to exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
Applicant is expected to have the organizational skills necessary for developing and coordinating assigned projects, providing updates, communicating, and escalating issues, as necessary.
Applicant should have an aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting in a highly technical and fast-paced environment involving an ability to diagnose technical issues, match appropriate resources, and report after every case.

The objective of the Engineer is to create and maintain the first line of defense between our customer’s business assets and potential threats that could compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and/or availability of those assets. The Engineer will work directly with the Sales team, customer, and internal departments to create solutions that meet or exceed current and future network and security requirements and test those solutions to ensure all customer and business needs are met. The Engineer will provide support for escalated customer issues including troubleshooting infrastructure or communication layer issues. Based on location, this position is full-time with remote options.What You’ll Do:

Work with Infrastructure Engineers, Solutions Engineers, Project Managers, Peers, and Operations Management on customer implementations, as assigned.
Work and communicate directly with customers to test solutions and resolve problems.
Self-manage workload including assigned projects/tickets.
Transition of new designs and customer products from Engineering to Support by creating supporting KBA articles.
Execute implementation of requested security changes to existing solutions (NSCC).
Receive and work escalations from support teams.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule with flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Occasional travel may be required.
