PDI Ground Support Systems, Inc (“PDI”), a leading manufacturer of weapons handling systems and ground support equipment for the United States military, is looking for a world-class Custodial Maintenance Technician to maintain the office and warehouse.

The Custodial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable building, both inside and outside. They are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting high traffic areas, emptying trash, making minor repairs as needed, and tending to the grounds of the establishment. This can be a full- or part-time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Restrooms: Restock dispensers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals. Restock paper and soap dispensers.
• Office and common areas: Disinfect desks, conference room table tops and counter tops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and empty trash containers and dispose of in outside trash dumpster. Clean glass windows in conference room. Office and common areas include front lobby, employee entrance, conference rooms, purchasing office, production office, quality office, and shipping office.
• Kitchen/lunchroom: Disinfect all lunch tables and counter tops, clean out microwaves, sweep and mop floors, clean out kitchen sink and company coffee station. Restock paper towels, and plasticware. Refrigerators will be cleaned out and disinfected once a month.
• Inventory: Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies.
• Spot clean as required: Depending on time-of-day additional spot cleaning may be required because of visitors being present or arriving.
• Will be responsible to follow a daily cleaning check list and verify all tasks are completed.
• Keep the janitor’s closet neat and clean.
• Report any items needing fixed or may be considered a safety concern.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience with industrial cleaning.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to complete small maintenance tasks, such as unclogging toilets or touching up paint.
