PCC Community Wellness Center is Hiring a Dentist Near Berwyn, IL

Part-Time Dentist, Chicago IL 60644
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide general family dentistry services to patients

  • Protect patients or staff members using safety equipment.
  • Operate diagnostic or therapeutic medical instruments or equipment.
  • Examine mouth, teeth, gums, or related facial structures.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Administer anesthetics or sedatives to control pain.
  • Develop medical treatment plans.
  • Treat dental problems or diseases.
  • Diagnose dental conditions.
  • Adjust prostheses or other assistive devices.
  • Advise patients on preventive care techniques.

2. Work with administrative leadership in the supervision & direction of dental support staff.

3. Participate in required meetings including the monthly staff meeting.

4. Available for on-call services and ad hoc consultations by providers and clinical staff.

Company Benefits:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited dental school.

Licensed by the State of Illinois.

Spanish speaking is a plus.

Experience:

Three or more years of professional experience in dentistry preferred but will consider recent graduate.

Technical Knowledge:

Software Knowledge: Strong computer literacy/proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Equipment: PC, email, facsimile machine, computerized voice mail system, and common office machines

  • Exude strong customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients, and the public
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimum/no supervision
  • Willingness to be part of a team-unit and cooperate in the accomplishment of departmental goals and organizational objectives
  • Must have the capability to recommend and participate in the development of the policies and procedures for topics that affect PCC.
  • Must be highly self-motivated so as to identify areas that need investigation and resolution.

  • Follow-through, assume responsibility and use good judgment.
  • Maintain professionalism under stressful situations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Self motivate and direct with the ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written communication.
