Overview:

The Store Director provides leadership, direction and inspiration for our stores and staff. They are committed to outstanding customer service and developing and supporting staff in a culture based on mutual trust, respect and accountability. They oversee all aspects of store operations including budgeting, staffing, health and safety, and community involvement.

Comp Details:
$103,500 - $129,375 /annually, depending on experience. Bonus eligible.

Main Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership, direction and mentorship to staff of up to 150
  • Provides direct support, development, evaluation and coaching to store management team
  • Oversees all aspects of store operations and ensures execution of programs with consistently high standards
  • Fosters trust, respect and accountability to build a strong team within the store
  • Sets tone for and maintains the highest standards for store conditions
  • Creates and nurtures an environment for delivering a consistently excellent customer service experience
  • Develops and delivers on annual budget with aggressive expectations regarding growth and profitability
  • Provides a healthy and safe work environment for staff
  • Embraces the community through personal and staff involvement in the community
  • Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven strong leadership abilities with a minimum of three years managing multi-department retail store
  • Food service, grocery store or related management experience required with in-depth management of at least two relevant departments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop, manage and achieve budgets
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining outstanding customer service
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience writing schedules and managing payroll
  • Passion for quality, organic and fresh food a plus
  • A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
  • If hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC)
  • If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)
