Summary:

As a formulation I, your duties are to implement assembly, test and inspect issues, operate during the production process, and ensure all safety procedures are followed. Your responsibilities also include handling the setup of materials and supplies.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

• Learn raw materials used in manufacturing process, where the materials are stored and where they are used
• Read and understand a batch ticket to know which raw materials and quantities will be needed to make batch
• Open/close process valves to divert products into the correct tanks
• Turn agitators on and off to each tank as needed
• Use Proper dumping technique of metal/fiber drums and super sacks
• Collect samples for lab
• Rig and un-rig super sacks to hoists in dumping station
• Operate hoists in dumping station
• Program raw material meters to pump the correct amount of each to the tank
• Transfer batches from Manufacturing tanks to holding/production tanks without error
• Become familiar with and practice driving forklift
• Pass Forklift training course and obtain forklift driver’s license.
• Be able to recognize problems with the mechanical equipment in the unit.
• Stage raw materials needed to make upcoming batches
• Load and unload Bulk trucks (Tankwagons)
• Unload raw material containers
• Keep work area clean and free of debris
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Perform their assigned tasks with little or no supervision.
• Able to lift 75 lbs. of raw materials.

• Requires ability to work outside in the elements

• Have the verbal skills to communicate changes, problems, or emergency information to supervision and other operators in the unit.

• Have a basic understanding of up and downstream unit operations.
• Assist or take charge of activating or deactivating equipment using the site Lock-Out/Tag-out program.
• Perform routine work area cleanup duties to maintain high housekeeping standards for safe unit operation.
• Perform work area rounds to verify normal unit and equipment operation.

Education: High school education preferred

Training:

• Have completed both HAZ COM and HAZ MAT refresher training.

Hours of Operation:

• Monday through Friday 6am - 2:30pm with a 30 minute lunch
