PBF Holding Co.LLC is Hiring a Remote Digital Strategies and Advocacy Director

Digital Strategies and Advocacy Director PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Digital Strategies and Advocacy Director to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company location in Washington, D.C. The Director will report to the VP of Strategic Communication and work closely with the Senior Director of Government Relations and other team members throughout the Company. The successful candidate will work in our Washington, D.C. office and be responsible for supporting PBF’s rapid response protocols and external communication capabilities for the Company, subsidiaries, and facilities, including developing and executing long-term digital media and advocacy strategies that support and advance the Company’s priorities. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate Company-wide media relations and monitoring, as well as social listening across various platforms, including ‘X’ and Facebook, identify emerging industry trends, anticipate potential areas of risk, and ensure consistent messaging and advocacy on key issues impacting PBF’s assets by working cross-functionally with internal communication teams at various locations Spearhead daily media monitoring, including news clips, social media, and social listening, to identify relevant reporting, dialogues, and engagement opportunities Create and implement a new internal protocol to monitor issues involving our Company, facilities, and industry; engage stakeholders; and guide execution of local and/or specialized communications strategies aligned with PBF Energy’s broader priorities, including reputation management Work cross-functionally with facility Emergency Response Teams to ensure consistent messaging during related activities Develop and implement comprehensive social media and advocacy plans for communicating company values and cross-industry issues; and assist in developing and executing advocacy plans and initiatives when needed, including grassroots lobbying and other priorities Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 7 years in communications in the energy industry, government energy policy, and/or managing political campaigns preferred Expert understanding of refinery operations and/or the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries, or a demonstrated affinity and ability to learn quickly Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking mindset; detail-oriented with sharp strategic and political acumen Proven leadership and experience working effectively under pressure managing advocacy initiatives, crisis and/or reputational issues, and general issues management Previous experience managing social media and digital advertising campaigns utilizing ‘X’ (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google SEO/SEM, and graphic design skills Requires strong interpersonal, written, oral communication, planning, social media, and project execution skills, while working collaboratively both independently and on project and cross-functional teams Some travel is required ONLY CANDIDATES MEETING THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SERIOUS CONSIDERATION, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SALARY REQUIREMENTS We thank all respondents for their interest in PBF Holding Company LLC (“PBF Energy”), however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
